For the song In The Ghetto, I drew a broken down ghetto house with some old kid's bike in front. Since the song is basically about a kid growing up in the ghetto, I decided to add the bike to show that. I put graffiti on the house to show that it was ghetto.
I like the way this piece turned out. I think the spray paint and lack of grass and wood on the window adds to the ghetto part of the piece. I think the trees in the background also turned out well. It's hard to see, but on the column in the middle of the piece, there is an orange "EP" spray painted on it, which stands for Elvis Presley. I think the colors turned out really nice. I also like the composition of the piece. I like how the house is somewhat cut off, so it makes it like incomplete like the ghetto is. I like the way it turned out.
