For Burning Love, I didn't know what to do. I was thinking of maybe doing a heart on fire or something like that but it didn't feel right. But during spring break, I saw the "Love's" gas station sign and thought "what if I paint that on fire?". So that happened. I think this is one of my most "clear" pieces to the actual song.
Well fire is hard to paint. Especially if the background is already painted and you're trying to use yellow. I learned that during this project. But I like the way this piece turned out. I think it portrays the song in a more literal way than interpretive, which is different than I think all of my other pieces. I like the way the trees turned out and I added the telephone wires to balance out the painting. Overall, I like this painting and I think it turned out well.
